Cookies and similar technologies (draft for operator review)
This page describes the cookies and browser storage used by the Cover & Carry: A Canadian Guide to Passport and Document Covers website, based on its current configuration.
Necessary PHP session: the site uses a PHP session cookie to protect the enquiry form against forged requests (CSRF) and to limit repeated submissions. It is necessary for the form to work safely and is not used for advertising.
Consent preference: your choice about optional cookies is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key site-consent-v1. The value is either yes or no. It remembers your choice on later visits.
Optional tags: no optional analytics or advertising tags are currently configured. Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and Meta Pixel are not active on this site. Accepting or declining optional cookies therefore does not currently load any such tag.
Future changes: the site is built so that any optional tag that is configured later loads only after you accept, never before. If the operator adds one, this page and the privacy information must be updated to name the tag and explain what it does.
Changing your choice: the footer has a cookie-settings button that reopens the choices, so you can accept or revoke optional tracking. You can also clear your browser's site data, including localStorage, to be asked again. Clearing browser data may also remove the session cookie.
